One of the oldest estates in Saint-Émilion, Château Corbin traces its origins to the 15th century, its name echoing across centuries of Bordeaux heritage. Situated on the northwestern edge of the appellation, near the boundary with Pomerol, Corbin occupies a prized position—historically rich, geologically diverse, and increasingly recognized for its elegant, terroir-driven wines.

Owned by the Cruse family since 1924 and now led with quiet precision by Annabelle Cruse-Bardinet, Château Corbin is a Grand Cru Classé that champions finesse over flamboyance. Its 13-hectare vineyard rests on a blend of clay and sandy soils over an iron-rich sublayer, providing both structure and aromatic lift. The vines, dominated by Merlot (around 90%) with a smaller portion of Cabernet Franc, average over 30 years of age and are farmed sustainably with attention to soil life, canopy balance, and biodiversity.

Vinification at Corbin follows a plot-by-plot philosophy. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently sorted, and fermented in small, temperature-controlled vats. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, 40–50% of which are new, for approximately 18 months. The aim is always clarity, balance, and texture—never excess. The result is a wine of seamless grace: aromatic, medium-bodied, and built on freshness and precision.

The Château Corbin Grand Cru Classé opens with violet, black cherry, and graphite, evolving with subtle notes of cedar and savory spice. Its palate is marked by finely woven tannins, bright acidity, and a persistent mineral line—a wine that speaks quietly but confidently of its noble terroir.
