Once your request is placed
Once your en primeur request is placed, we manage everything from purchase through to shipment and delivery.
After all the wines are released, we will prepare a summary of what you have requested. At this point check with you how you would like your wine bottled and packed. We communicate that to the Chateaux, who in turn will confirm with us. Occasionally the Chateaux cannot accommodate the bottling request, if that happens, we will let you know.
Once bottling is confirmed, we will then provide you a finalised summary detailing the bottling. This is provided along with the first payment summary. This will be due for payment in August of the year the wines are offered En Primeur.
The wines remain in France to complete their maturation, usually for another 18–24 months. When bottling is complete and wines are released from the château, they are shipped to New Zealand and made available for delivery or cellar collection.
We will keep you updated as your wine progresses and notify you well in advance of its arrival.
Our approach is simple: we want you to feel confident and excited about what you’re buying. If you’re new to en primeur, we’re happy to talk through the process in plain terms. And if you already know what you’re looking for, we’re here to make the experience seamless.
