The 2025 Chauvin was cropped at 29 hl/ha and matured in 43% new oak barrels. It has a well-defined bouquet, quite upfront red berry fruit, a little more extrovert than some of its peers this vintage, but still nicely controlled. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity, fresh and lively, with a brisk and linear finish. Much more classical in style compared to previous vintages and a classy offering. Drink 2031 - 2052.

A crunchy and pleasant red with aromas of currants, raspberries and orange peel. Medium-bodied with pleasant tannins and a fruity finish.

88-90/100 Antonio Galloni

The 2025 Chauvin is attractive, but it is also a bit light texturally, a reflection of sandy soils. Crushed flowers, bright red toned fruit, mocha and blood orange are nicely lifted. This gentle, caressing Saint-Émilion is very nicely rendered. Tasted two times. Drink 2030 - 2040.
