Aromas of rich berries, licorice and spices introduce the 2024 Fonroque, a medium to full-bodied, rich and layered wine with good density and energy. It's a strong effort.
The 2024 Fonroque has a pretty nose with red cherry and wild strawberry fruit aromas that unfurl nicely in the glass. The oak is neatly integrated here. The palate is medium-bodied, sorbet-fresh and a little edgy with smooth tannins and a spicy finish that lingers. This is a commendable Saint-Émilion for the vintage.
The 2024 Fonroque is a soft, caressing Saint-Émilion from Alain Moueix. Supple contours wrap around a core of red-toned fruit, cinnamon, blood orange, cedar and pipe tobacco. Floral top notes extend the finish nicely.
