Solid, well framed and dense. Dark berry and warm spice aromas follow through to a medium body with chewy tannins. Plenty of purple fruit character on the palate, with a chewy finish. 62% merlot and 38% cabernet franc.

The 2025 Grand Mayne is very refined and poised on the nose, fresher than many of its Right Bank peers, with red berry fruit, cedar and subtle sous-bois scents. The palate is framed by very supple tannins, matched by a keen line of acidity, lightly spiced, very cohesive, with a prolonged and elegant finish. Just a great Saint-Émilion 2025 that should age with style.

The 2025 Grand Mayne is impressive. Dark, layered and vibrant, Grand Mayne has so much to offer. Dark-toned fruit, new leather, licorice, mocha and a kiss of French oak all meld together in the glass. This big, broad-shouldered Saint-Émilion displays very fine balance and tons of character. Tasted two times.
