Oakier and spicier than its siblings from Vignobles K, the 2024 Haut-Brisson displays a somber, shy bouquet of oak and spices mingled with notes of pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, firm and compact, it's moderately weighted with brittle tannins and a firm, somewhat dry finish. The wine went into barrels at the beginning of March, likely contributing to its current brooding and austere character. This blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc will mature in 35% new oak.

The 2024 Haut-Brisson is plush, round and enveloping. Super-ripe dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and copious sweet new oak all build in the glass. This is an especially unctuous, flamboyant style.
