The 2024 La Croix St Georges signals this estate's continuing progress. Not only is winemaking and élevage more refined, but some vigor is being restored to this early-ripening, well-drained site. Offering up attractive aromas of dark berries, plums, fruitcake and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and suave, with a layered, enveloping harmonious profile that belies the vintage.
The 2024 La Croix St. Georges is another impressive wine from Jean-Philippe Janoueix. Dark-toned fruit, gravel, spice, graphite, new leather and licorice are all amplified in the glass. This potent, brooding Pomerol packs a pretty serious punch. It's also impeccably balanced. Tasted two times.
