The 2024 La Louvière has a light bouquet with pleasing blackberry and raspberry fruit, loam and light floral scents—definitely one of the superior red aromatics from Pessac-Léognan. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, pleasant peppery black fruit and a simple but cohesive finish. Prudent winemaking has enhanced this 2024.

The 2024 La Louvière is a bit slender, but it offers lovely aromatic presence and fine balance. Dried herbs, tobacco, spice, licorice and mocha all grace the 2024, a subtle, understated wine that may very well have more to say in the future. Tasted two times.
